blog: January 25, 2025- Why hello there!
Hi everyone! My name is Shelby. I’m 31 years old, living in Arkansas, and a proud mom to three incredible girls—ages 9, 6, and 8 months. Life is busy, no doubt, but it’s also deeply fulfilling. While I once imagined myself as a "boy mom," I thank God every single day for blessing me with my girls. They challenge me in ways I never expected, but they also teach me something new every day, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.
I’ll be honest—I'm an over thinker. My mind is constantly racing from the time I open my eyes in the morning until I finally drift off at night. I tend to get caught up overanalyzing even the smallest details, and it’s something I’m actively working on. Some days, it feels like the weight of everything—three kids, endless chores, and the whirlwind of life—is just too much. On those days, when it seems like I’ve achieved nothing, the self-doubt hits hard. But through it all, I’ve been learning to give myself grace. Life doesn’t have to be perfect, and every day offers a chance to grow, learn, and treasure the moments that matter most.
If there’s one constant in my life, it’s that I’m always late. Always. Maybe TikTok is right—it might just be an ADHD thing! Still, I’m working on managing my time better. One thing that’s helped me immensely is using a planner. Call me old school, but I picked up the most adorable planner from Wal-Mart, and it’s been a game-changer for me. Here’s the link to the one I love so dearly. It has a monthly calendar, plus a spacious section for notes and tasks, so everything stays organized without cluttering the calendar. Writing things down and crossing them off as I go helps me stay on track—well, at least a little better!
My girls are always wanting to do things. I try to tell them that doing fun things is a privilege and not a right. It's crazy to me the difference in when I was their age and now. I'm glad my girls are more than loved and receive so much from family. They are very fortunate but sometimes the overwhelming toys and stuffed animals is too much for me to take on. I personally hate stuffed animals. All they do is collect dust! It's insane. I came across this stuffed animal holder that was pretty cool and I wanted to share it with you guys! https://walmrt.us/4awDfN8 you literally hang it in the corner and it's literally like a stuffed animal prison hahaha. It doesn’t get any better than that! Another thing I’ve been teaching my girls is the importance of giving back. Sometimes, when we have an overwhelming amount of toys, we go through them together and pick out ones to donate to kids who might not have as much. I think it's a great way for them to learn gratitude and understand how fortunate they are. Plus, it helps clear some of the clutter that seems to take over our home! Teaching them these small life lessons while keeping our space more organized feels like a win-win situation for everyone.

?January 28, 2025- Sick Season (is it summer yet?)
Good afternoon, friends! I hope this message finds you well. How's everyone doing today? Here in Arkansas, it really feels like nearly everyone is under the weather lately, and I’m curious—does it feel the same where you live? In my house, the sickness started with my 6-year-old, who kindly (or maybe not so kindly) passed it on to my 8-month-old. And now, as you might guess, it's making its way through every single one of us in the family. It’s been a tough week! Today, I wanted to take a moment to share some of my tried-and-true favorite cold remedies for both adults and kids. These are products I personally use, trust, and absolutely swear by when sickness hits. I do want to mention that this post contains affiliate links, so thank you in advance for supporting us if you decide to purchase!
First off, let me introduce you to an old favorite of mine: Alka-Seltzer. This has been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve honestly loved it since I was younger, mainly because of its signature fizzy drink—there’s something oddly comforting about it, and it always seems to make me feel so much better. Over the years, the brand has expanded its offerings and now has specific options for cold, flu, and congestion relief, which I highly recommend keeping on hand. If your household is anything like mine right now and battling the endless waves of sickness, definitely consider checking it out here: https://walmrt.us/3PVmUIs. You won’t regret it!
Of course, it's no secret that boosting your immune system is always the best way to stay ahead of any illness! Let me tell you, I am a firm believer in giving your body the tools it needs to naturally fight off colds and viruses whenever possible. One product I absolutely love in this regard is Airborne. Their original fizzy tablets have always been a favorite of mine, and I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re like me and enjoy a good gummy option, they also offer delicious gummy vitamins that are just as effective. Both are excellent choices for keeping your immune system in tip-top shape. If you’re interested in adding this to your routine, you can find it here: https://walmrt.us/4jCvadG. Trust me, it’s worth every penny!
Now, let’s talk about the little ones. When it comes to kids, finding medicine they’ll actually take can feel like an impossible mission—I know this struggle all too well! My middle child has always been quite the challenge when it comes to taking any kind of medication, whether it’s syrup, fizzy drinks, or chewable tablets. However, after much trial and error, I’ve managed to find some success with Hyland's Natural Kids Cough Syrup. What I love about this product is that they offer formulations specifically designed for both daytime and nighttime relief, so you can cover all your bases. Even my notoriously picky child occasionally agrees to take this, which is nothing short of a miracle! If you’re looking for a gentle, natural solution to help ease your kids’ coughs, I highly recommend giving this a try. Here’s the link to their day/night cough syrup combo: https://walmrt.us/40H5fJw. It’s been a lifesaver for us!
Stay healthy out there, everyone, and remember to take good care of yourselves, your families, and your loved ones. Wishing you all a speedy recovery if you’re feeling under the weather and hoping brighter, healthier days are ahead for us all!

February 4, 2025
Hi everyone! How have you all been? I've been doing well, just counting down the days until the weather warms up. I'm so over these chilly days and can’t wait to dive into outdoor fun by the pool. Living in Arkansas means we get some seriously warm weather, and trust me, you don’t want to face it without good A/C! Today, I wanted to share a few of my kids' favorite products that make summertime even more exciting.
One of our go-to ways to beat the heat is with outdoor water games! Whether it’s a playful sprinkler spraying water in all directions or an adrenaline-packed slip-and-slide, these activities keep the kids entertained for hours while staying cool. Another family favorite is a good old water balloon fight—there’s nothing like a little friendly competition to create lasting summer memories under the sun!
You can check the ones we like down below!👇
My family loves the pool, we usually always have one of the large framed pools, my girls would struggle super hard without one! We use my tumbling mat and blow that up and put that in the pool and my older two have a blast on it. Sometimes we will use it outside the pool as a slip n slide! 🛝
